Star Star Star Star Star

I ordered a new boiler at 5pm Wednesday and it was fitted within 18hrs on the Thursday. Unbelievable service.

Star Star Star Star Star

Spot on from start to finish and job completed well within the specified time frame. More than happy with the job. The guys from Steven who came round to survey and advise us of our options to the fitters who did the work polite, courteous and knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to recommend them.

All very straightforward – replacement of a 16 year old boiler with new Ideal/Hive system. All went smoothly – just an issue with air in the system which was remedied in good time – the engineer was very conversant with his job and explained things as he went along.

Frequently asked questions

  • Do I need to replace my boiler?

You’ve just run a nice hot bath, stepped in and realised it’s stone cold. That’s it — time to replace my boiler. Well, not so fast. The first thing you should do is check the digital readout — if it has one. If it’s giving an error message, it could be that your boiler has tripped out.

If you’re unsure what’s causing the issue, we will send a qualified boiler specialist to have a look. It could well need a repair, so it’s best to check before paying out for a central heating boiler replacement.

  • Is my boiler beyond repair?

If you call an expert and they decide the repair costs would be greater than buying a new boiler, it may be time to take the plunge. Speak with the fitter and they’ll be able to advise you on your next boiler. It’s possible that your existing boiler wasn’t the right type for your household anyway, in which case you’ll need a different one — this could provide you with a more efficient model and end up saving you money in the longer term.

  • My boiler needs are changing, what do I do?

Building an extra bathroom? One of your elderly parents moving in? Kids flying the nest? Different household sizes and hot water demands call for different types of boiler. An important thing to note is that different boilers have different systems, and the costs will change accordingly. Our team of experts can advise on the right boiler for you.

  • Do I qualify for a new boiler?

Anyone can get a new boiler if they feel they need an upgrade. However, it’s more cost effective to only upgrade your boiler if your current one is faulty, or if it’s over 7 years old. Constantly replacing faulty components can end up being much more costly than a complete system replacement, so an efficient upgrade is often the best option.

  • Which boiler is best?

The Energy Support Hub only offer the best boiler brands, so when looking for a new boiler, we’d recommend looking through our range for peace of mind. The best brands of combi boilers for consistent quality include Worcester Bosch and Ideal. It’s also worth checking the energy efficiency rating to ensure your chosen boiler is not only good for the environment, but also helps you to save money in the long run.

What’s even better, is that with every purchase of a boiler through The Energy Support Hub, you’ll have the option of choosing a HIVE Active Heating Home Hub to help you get the most out of your new appliance.

  • I'm moving home, do I need a new boiler?

There are two types of home-seekers: those looking for a cheap doer-upper; and those who want to move in, unpack their boxes and start living. Obviously the second group will be prepared to pay more than the first, so giving them as little as possible to do when they move in will boost your home’s value. That’s why it can easily pay for itself if you get new carpets, wallpaper, guttering, glazing… and — you guessed it — a new boiler. We can find you the right products at the best prices.

  • How much does a boiler cost to replace?

A boiler replacement can be an investment for any homeowner or landlord, which is why here at The Energy Support Hub, we keep our prices fixed, fair and as low as possible. For example, if you chose a Ideal 24 boiler with a horizontal flue and installation, we’ll charge a set price of £9.82 per week, in the majority of locations. See how much better off you’ll be by getting a quote from us.  If you’re finding your boiler is being temperamental or regularly breaks down, you should seriously consider a replacement boiler.

  • What is Chemical Flush?

80% of boiler breakdowns are caused by dirty corrosive particles moving around your system and back into your boiler.  This is why before we even get your new boiler out of the box we will conduct a full chemical flush of your system and attach a magnetic filter with 25 Years Warranty.
